Scandal preceded Ryan’s tenure
There are some facts that I think people should be aware of. As far as the license scandal involving former Gov. George Ryan, the scandal was prominent since the 1950s, and how much before that I don’t know. I know for a fact that many of my friends bought their driver’s license by putting money in a matchbook for the driving instructor. I also know of people who never appeared in person for their license but still have one.
Should all the secretary of states before Ryan also pay for this corruption? Gov. Ryan also did many good things when he was in office. Let’s give him some credit for that. It is inhumane to not let him be with his dying wife.
