Adam Hargrow was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver following a drug investigation.
A Cook County judge on Saturday set Hargrow’s bail at $35,000, requiring him to post $3,500 for his release.
Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg police conducted a search warrant Friday evening at his residence in the 500 block of Stonegate Circle in Schaumburg, Assistant States Attorney Katherine Levine said.
She said police smelled fresh marijuana in the residence, where they found 48 grams of the drug and 2 grams of psilocybin, or mushrooms, a controlled substance that is ingested.
Hargrow turned himself into Hoffman Estates police shortly after the search warrant was conducted, Levine said.
She added that Hargrow just got off felony probation. He has numerous drug convictions including a felony charge for manufacturing cannabis.
His next court date is at 10 a.m. Feb. 8 in Rolling Meadows.
