Beware forbidding fields in AFC, NFC title games

Cold, wind and frozen turf. They make Pittsburgh's Heinz Field and Chicago's Soldier Field such forbidding places.

Just ask the guys who play there. The Bears' Charles Tillman says some people refer to their field as "sorry" — or even worse.

The way the kickers handle such fields might be the difference when the Jets play the Steelers and the Packers take on the Bears with Super Bowl spots on the line Sunday.

The Jets' Nick Folk is taking several different pairs of cleats with him to Pittsburgh and taking extra kicks before the AFC championship game.

The Bears' Robbie Gould says everyone knows it will be cold in Chicago for the NFC championship, so the players need to relax and deal with the elements as best they can.
