Hanover Twp. residents show their generosity
On behalf of the Hanover Township Officials, the staff and all of the volunteers of our Welfare Services department, I would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support during this past holiday season.
Thanks to the Bartlett Lions Club, Jewel Food Stores, the Streamwood Kiwanis Club and those that donated to the Township Food Pantry, we were able to give over 600 holiday meal boxes to families experiencing hardship.
Over 1,300 children had toys to open as a result of the generous support to our Toy Drive and Sponsor-a-Family program. Thank you to the 20 businesses, community partners and local municipal offices for allowing their lobbies and offices to be utilized for drop off locations.
Every year we continue to be overwhelmed by the tremendous support our residents, neighbors and friends show to those who need it the most and we never take it for granted.
New and gently used coats are still being accepted for the winter coat drive. Coat donations can be dropped off at the Township Offices (250 S. Route 59, Bartlett) or at the Township's Astor Avenue Community Center (7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park).
Thank you again to everyone who sponsored a family or dropped off toys for children during this holiday season. You have each made the season a little brighter.
