Barrington HS holds ‘Sound of Music’ sing-a-long
The Barrington High School Fine Arts Department will present “Sing-a-Long Sound of Music” 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, in the Richard C. Johnson Auditorium.
Having started in the UK in 1999, the “Sing-a-Long Sound of Music” show has played to packed houses across the globe with over 10,000 performances in nine different countries. It’s also filled the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles three times.
The show is a screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious, full-screen Technicolor, complete with subtitles so that the whole audience can sing along. The show starts with a vocal warmup led by the evening’s host, who also takes the audience through their complimentary magic moments pack containing various props to be used at strategic points through out the film.
Come and celebrate the 40th anniversary of this wonderful film and experience “The Sound of Music” as an interactive, fun-filled family event. Come dressed in a costume and receive a free popcorn.
