Adler Center offers movie-making class Jan. 27

The David Adler Music and Arts Center, 1700 North Milwaukee Ave.

in Libertyville, will offer a class for students interested in acting in films and television. The course, taught by Scott Metzger, will also appeal to students interested in writing screenplays and directing movies and television. Students will learn acting for the camera as well as basic principles of shooting, scripting, directing, sound, lighting, and editing for a short film.

In addition, each student will receive a professionally produced copy of their film on DVD. This film will be in the “Classic Hollywood” style, and will be between 5-10 minutes in duration.

The class will meet twice each week for 6 weeks beginning Jan. 27. There will be a movie premiere showing at the conclusion. Registration is now open! Visit our website at adlercenter.org or call (847) 367-0707.
