U.S. is an imperial, corporate state

We'll never solve the fiscal problems our country is in until we end the non-declared (unconstitutional) wars on the Asiatic mainland, now turning into perpetual war (shades of Orwell's 1984) due to our decision to maintain a large standing army after World War II, which over the years, turned us into an imperial nation, aided and abetted by the military/industrial complex President Eisenhower warned us about.

America is now an imperial corporate state, becoming more fascistic with every Republican throw of the dice. The wars are sucking America's treasury dry and preventing us from financing our health, old-age, infrastructural and educational needs. And to compete globally we need an educated citizenry. Spend in the right places, not on war.
