New model open at Courthouse Square in Wheaton

Airhart Construction recently lifted the curtain on The Blanchard, a new model at Courthouse Square, a community of 46 Georgian-style luxury townhouses on the site of the historic DuPage County Courthouse campus in Wheaton.

“Visitors can tour the new fully furnished model and see firsthand the high-end amenities and upscale features,” said Christy Whelan, director of sales for Airhart Construction.

“We've decorated The Blanchard in traditional colors and eye-catching décor. It's a residence that truly showcases the quality, value and customizable space in all the townhomes we craft here,” she said.

Spanning 3,024 square feet, The Blanchard showcases three bedrooms, 3½ baths, a great room equipped with a fireplace and custom mantle, rear paver patio off the kitchen, and wide-planked and hand-scraped maple hardwood floors topped with a dark finish. Among the model's most impressive features is a third floor layout with a third bedroom, full bath, kitchenette with wet bar, and private family room that opens to a rooftop terrace.

“If you are interested in a quick move in and want to buy the Blanchard, it has already been sold,” said Heather Mistele, sales manager for Airhart Construction. “However, we are just completing construction on another residence, The Childs, that is ready for move in.”

The Childs is a 3,010 square foot high-end residence with many windows and offers three bedrooms and 3½ baths. Also included is an upper floor with a third bedroom, full bath and oversized family room with terrace access, and a three-car tandem heated garage linked to an underground heated driveway that runs beneath the community courtyard — the only home remaining that includes this latter feature. The Childs is priced at $665,347 and is available for spring delivery.

“The Childs model is the first and last of its kind, so it represents an exclusive, limited opportunity to claim a truly unique residence,” Mistele said.

Phase 3 is now available at preconstruction prices. Three layouts are available and can be fully customized. They are:

ŸThe Adams, offering 2,000 square feet and base priced from $436,700 (all prices subject to change without notice).

ŸThe Wheaton, spanning 2,200 square feet and base priced from $469,000.

ŸThe Blanchard, an end unit with more privacy and extra windows, boasting 3,200 square feet and base priced from $649,000.

Every townhouse provides a generous variety of upscale standard inclusions, among them: a first-floor great room with a fireplace; 9-foot ceilings throughout; two-car garage; handsome brick and limestone exteriors; a ground-level front paver brick private patio; and extensive landscaping.

Options include additional bedrooms and baths, a private elevator that can be installed now or planned for future use, and an optional third floor can also be configured as flexible living space.

“We offer an optional third level that can be personalized to accommodate any buyer's needs,” said Mistele. “For example, it can be used as a private in-law suite or guest quarters, or as an ideal entertainment area.”

Courthouse Square townhouses “cater to just about every type of shopper, from busy families and empty nesters to active singles and young professionals,” said Mistele. “For those on a budget wishing to downsize, we have a slightly smaller floor plan. For those who wish to upsize and go more deluxe, we have a larger plan.”

What's more, any Courthouse Square home can be fully personalized to reflect a buyer's unique tastes and personality. Case in point: If you wanted to move an older relative upstairs to the third floor, Airhart Construction can create a custom suite served by a private elevator. Or if you crave more storage space or have need for three inside parking spaces, the three-car tandem garage option can be a smart choice.

Other homeowner benefits include access to the property's shared facilities, such as the community center building, which was formerly the campus' States Attorney's Office Building. In addition to providing professional office space, this facility features shared resident amenities such as a fitness center, outdoor pool and a fully furnished hospitality suite complete with a gourmet kitchen for parties and meetings.

“Moreover, Courthouse Square is conveniently located in downtown Wheaton within proximity of everything you could want,” Whelan said. “Nearby are local coffee houses, acclaimed neighborhood restaurants and the Wheaton Public Library. Also, the Wheaton Metra station is only a two-block walk away.”

Hours at Courthouse Square are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment. To reach the community, take I-88 west to Naperville Road, head north to Liberty Street, and proceed to The Blanchard model/sales office at 309 E. Liberty St. (located just a few blocks north of Roosevelt Road/Route 38). For more information, call (630) 462-0500 or visit www.airhartconstruction.com.
