Schaumburg couple honors their neighbors
At this season of giving and thankfulness we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our dear next door neighbors, the DeLarcos. They are a family struck by a terrible tragedy six years ago when their wonderful 10-year-old son, Michael, was hit and killed in a terrible train accident.
After his death you might think they would retreat from others in the friendly Langley Court circle but they have done just the opposite.
In performing community service for senior citizen, Michael would shovel our driveway, get our mail when we were away and put our newspapers on our porch every day. Now the whole family, at different times, does the same thing for us, continuing Michael's work.
We are indeed grateful for their constant help not only to us but to other neighbors. Fifteen-year-old Andreya has helped by watering our flowers when we are away and 5-year-old Faith helps us trim our tree each Christmas. We enjoy celebrating Halloween with her, too. They are truly an amazing, outgoing, giving and lovable family.
At this special time of the year we would love to give grateful thanks to the DeLarco family, Mike, Linda, Andreya and Faith — the best of neighbors.
