Environmental author to speak in Barrington

Citizens for Conservation will bring Douglas W. Tallamy, the author of “Bringing Nature Home: How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens,” to the Barrington Area Library at 9:30 a.m., Feb. 12.

Tallamy, who serves as chair of the Department of Entomology at the University of Delaware, will present a message about how suburban gardeners have the opportunity to protect biodiversity, and why a simple change in the way we look at our yards can make a crucial difference to wildlife.

Seating is limited and reservations are required by Jan. 28. The library is at 505 N. Northwest Highway in Barrington. For more information, call Citizens for Conservation at (847) 382-7283.
