Roselle Fire offers CPR course Jan. 13
The Roselle Fire Department is offering a Heartsaver CPR/AED course from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 at the fire station, 100 E. Maple Ave.
The course teaches all lay rescuers when to phone 9-1-1, how to administer CPR, how to usean automated external defibrillator, and how to provide relief from choking.
This course targets people who are expected to respond to cardiovascular emergencies in the workplace, home or public locations, and can be used for all lay rescuers who are required to obtain a credential documenting the completion of a CPR course that includes use of an AED. Participants of this class will be certified by the American Heart Association in the Heartsaver AED course.
The class size is limited to 14 people, and costs $40, paid in advance. Fees are nonrefundable, but courses will be rescheduled in the event of an advanced cancellation.
