Crazy Shades of Blue offers new improv show

Crazy Shades of Blue will be kicking of 2011 with a new improvised comedy show.

"After School Special" will run at 8 p.m. every Thursday in January at the Laugh Out Loud Theater in Schaumburg. As a post-holiday gift, a $2 off coupon for this show is available at the Crazy Shades of Blue website: www.improvthis.com and on Facebook (Add: Crazy Shades of Blue Improv Comedy Troupe)

"Wow, that's a cool after ChistmaHanaKwanzza gift idea!," said cast member Steve Duberchin.

This show will kick off the second season of laughs for Crazy Shades of Blue at their home base, Laugh out Loud Theater. "After School Special" is the follow-up to the successful "Gourmet Improv" shows from 2010. "After School Special" is an improvised comedy about controversial and socially relevant issues based very loosely on the popular TV show of the same name. The show takes place in a small town, where something special is happening, but side from that nothing is for sure.

As this is a completely improvised show, audience suggestions are used for everything from the name of each night's episode to casting the characters that will be found in that nights presentation. No two shows will ever be the same. "Aside from being a ton of laughs, I have no idea what is going to happen at each show!" cast member Lee Furnish said.

The Laugh Out Loud Theater is Schaumburg's premier place to see improvised comedy. The theater is located in the Streets of Woodfield. 601 N. Martingale Road, Streets of Woodfield, Suite 171, Schaumburg. Call the box office at (847) 240-0386 or visit www.loltheater.com). Parking is free plus food and drinks are available for purchase. All ages are welcome and the cast will be mindful of the makeup of the audience. However, some content for "After School Special" may not be suitable for children under 14 (adult language and humor).
