Stick to founder's mission

As I was reading the Daily Herald's article Tuesday, Dec. 28, “Our mission: Conversation that matters,” my eyes caught the true mission statement written by H.C. Paddock (1852-1935): “Our aim: To fear God, tell the truth, and make money.” It seems to me that if you would hold true to this message, you'd have no problem holding people's interest. I don't want gossip and half-truths, which only feeds on itself and destroys human souls.

I believe if you stand by H.C. Paddock's “Fear God” statement, which is Truth, the paper and readers would benefit enormously. Using wisdom with prudence is always a winner. Don't be afraid to stand up with God. He won't abandon you in your need.

Are you really going to print my letter? Ah... Courage.
