Thanks, CDH, for festive atmosphere

On Dec. 9, I went to Central DuPage Hospital for a medical appointment. Everything was so festive and decorated with beautiful Christmas trees, plants, ornaments, etc. And everyone was friendly, helpful and in a holiday spirit. It was quite pleasant.

A blood draw was ordered for me and off I went to the labs for the umpteenth time in the last month. While there the technician asked what I was doing afterward. I said I was going to treat my friend, who was not feeling well, to lunch downstairs. She told me about the free annual Christmas lunch that was taking place there for all employees and visitors and suggested I should try it.

Off we went and were greeted at the door with either a punch or eggnog drink. Down the hall was someone who directed us to the buffet line. Fresh salad, green beans and carrots, rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, rolls, filet or stuffed chicken breast. There were soft drinks and desserts further on. I couldn't believe it. Christmas music was playing and even Santa was walking around giving out gifts.

The atmosphere was heavenly and everyone was talking, laughing and thoroughly enjoying themselves. If one came into the hospital not feeling well, it was a sure boost to their spirit. Thank you, Central DuPage Hospital, for your wonderful Christmas present to everyone and for your continued excellent service to our community.
