Benet opens tourney with triumph

Benet's first game at the Plainfield North Holiday Tournament was a success, as the Redwings beat Lockport 52-38.

Benet (7-0) required scoring from just four players to defeat the 6-2 Porters. Frank Kaminsky led the Redwings with 18 points, followed by Dave Sobolewski with 17. Matt Parisi kicked in 9 points and Pat McInerney added 8.

Benet will play Lincoln-Way North at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at Plainfield North.
