Detroit's Johnson carted off against Packers
DETROIT -- Lions linebacker Landon Johnson was carted off the field during Detroit's 7-3 win over Green Bay on Sunday and taken to the hospital with a neck injury.
Johnson's helmet appeared to strike the shoulder of Packers wide receiver Andrew Quarless, and the Detroit player remained down on his stomach for a while before being able to roll over onto his back. After a few minutes, the cart was brought out on the field.
Coach Jim Schwartz said afterward Johnson was at the hospital, but the team was "guardedly optimistic" about his condition.
Detroit's defense has already been hurt by injuries to defensive lineman Kyle Vanden Bosch and defensive back Alphonso Smith.
