Two slates file in Island Lake

Two slates filed nominating petitions today to run for three Island Lake trustee seats on the April ballot.

Charles Cermak, Mary Piekarski and Allen Murvine filed under the People's Voice for Island Lake banner. Shannon L. Fox, Thea J. Morris and Joseph K. Ptak filed as part of the R.I.G.H.T. slate.

None of the six candidates who filed are incumbents.

Three, 4-year trustee seats will be on the ballot.

Candidates throughout Lake County began filing nominating petitions today to secure a spot on the ballot. The filing period runs through Monday, Dec. 20.
