Four file for Fox Lake trustee seats

Two incumbents and two challengers filed Monday for three open seats for the Fox Lake village board.

Former Mayor Nancy Koske and longtime trustee Greg Murray will be challenged on the April 5 ballot by Fox Lake zoning board member Robert Ebbert and Fox Lake planning board member Donnie Schmitt.

This is Ebberts first foray into politics, though has served as a former president of Leisure Village. Schmitt ventured into politics two years ago, and ran unsuccessfully for a trustee position.

Incumbent Jack Kiesgen did not file a petition Monday, announcing earlier this year he would not seek re-election due to health issues.
