Prospect High School gift program another success

Prospect High School's annual Adopt-a-Child holiday gift program is helping 65 needy children from 25 families this year.

The children's names were given to PHS by C.E.D.A. (Community and Economic Development Association) Northwest in Mount Prospect.

Service Learning Coordinator Dave Jacobson said this year 36 classes chose names, along with the boys basketball program, Student Council, the Junior class, Food Services, the Italian Club, the Main Office, the Attendance Office, the Social Studies Division, FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), Health Services, and various staffers.

The assembled gifts were delivered to C.E.D.A. on Dec. 7, where the families will be able to pick them up.

“Once again the Prospect family has proved that ‘Prospect Pride and Respect' is not just a slogan, but values we live by every day,” Jacobson said. “Our students and staff did another amazing job with this year's project.”
