Blackhawks assign Morin and Klinkhammer to Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned forwards Jeremy Morin and Rob Klinkhammer to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

Morin, 19, recorded the first goal of his National Hockey League career on Wednesday night at the United Center against Dallas. He has registered two points (G, A) and a +3 plus/minus rating in six games with Chicago this season. The Auburn, New York, native also shares second on Rockford with six goals, including a team-high four power-play markers, in 17 AHL tilts in his professional debut.

Klinkhammer, 24, made his National Hockey League debut on Wednesday against the Stars, recording three hits and a +1 rating in 11:36 of ice time. He has tallied nine points (3G, 6A) in 20 AHL contests this season with the IceHogs.

The Blackhawks will visit the San Jose Sharks at HP Pavilion on Saturday, December 11 at 9:30 P.M. (CT). The game can be seen locally on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and heard on 720 WGN.
