Eileen Fisher store moves to Schaumburg

Eileen Fisher clothing store is moving from Arlington Heights to the Schaumburg Promenade shopping center in Schaumburg.

Owned by the Inland Real Estate Corporation Inc., the center is located adjacent to Woodfield Shopping Center.

At approximately 8,085 square feet, the new location, three miles west of the current location, is almost double the size. The store will sell a complete range of the brand's collection, from clothing to accessories, as well as boots, belts, handbags and scarves. The in-house store design team took special care with the design of this location to create new fixtures and merchandising areas to highlight the brand's expanded offering of shoes and accessories.

It also features elements which are signatures of the designer's aesthetic such as reclaimed wood floors, natural light, high ceilings, and flat screen TVs which show the company's latest videos.

The company has ties to the greater Schaumburg community. Designer and founder Eileen Fisher is originally from neighboring Des Plaines and the Schaumburg store will be managed by one of her sisters. Fisher is excited about the possibilities the new space holds and she hopes women have fun playing and being creative with the clothes. “The new space will allow customers to see how the collection works together holistically. They'll be able to see how our timeless garments can be put together in ways that are really modern,” says Fisher.

The store will host an opening event in early 2011.

Fisher is known to create simple clothes designed to move with real life. With pure shapes and fine fabrics, they create sophistication, comfort-and style that lasts. Founded in 1984, the company reported overall sales of $270 million in 2009. The collection is sold by major retailers and specialty stores across the U.S. and Canada as well as in 53 company-owned stores and on line. Based in Irvington, N.Y., the company operates showrooms in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta.
