Waukegan’s boys basketball lost star Jereme Richmond to the University of Illinois but the cupboard is far from bare.

Akeem Springs’ 31 points led the Bulldogs to a 74-58 Central Suburban League crossover victory over Maine West on Tuesday night in Des Plaines.

Kevin Garcia scored 22 points to lead the Warriors (3-2). Odera Eneogwe added 14 points and Conor Hart chipped in 9 points.

Lake Park 64, Schaumburg 59: The Saxons dropped to 2-3 overall with the nonconference loss in Roselle.
