Bears win ratings battle, too

NEW YORK — The NFL doubleheader on Fox on Sunday averaged its highest preliminary television rating on the network in 14 years.

The two games drew a 15.2 overnight rating and 28 share, the best since Week 13 of the 1996 season. The early window earned the highest rating for a regional game on any network this season with a 12.3/24. The national game, the Chicago Bears' 31-26 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, was the highest-rated NFL game on any network this season with an 18.0/32.

Ratings represent the percentage of all homes with televisions tuned into a program. Shares represent the percentage of all homes with TVs in use at the time. Overnight ratings measure the country's largest markets.
