Northwest Community offers new app

Northwest Community Hospital is among the first hospitals in the Chicago area to provide a free app that has mobile access to vital medical information and services, such as finding the nearest emergency room.

Northwest is partnering with iTriage, a smart phone application and acute-care decision tool developed by Healthagen LLC. It can also be accessed through any Web-enabled device at iTriageHealth.com

Through iTriage, NCH provides details about its facilities in Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Buffalo Grove and Lake Zurich. Smart-phone users can quickly get information on services offered, hours of operation and directions based on the user's GPS location.

The iTriage technology also allows consumers to evaluate symptoms, learn about possible causes of illness and find locations for medical treatment anywhere in the United States.
