St. Charles North, East both win

St. Charles North senior Tess Fischer collected a game-high 17 points to lead St. Charles North to a 59-48 decision over Oswego Friday and a spot in Saturday's third-place game.

Senior guard Sydney Russell knocked down four 3-pointers as part of a 16-point effort for the North Starts, who improved to 2-1. Taylor Russell and Kate Booe added 7 points each.

Schaumburg Thanksgiving Tournament: St. Charles East sophomore Paige Jordan netted a game-high 31 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead the Saints to a thrilling 60-59 victory over Rockford Boylan.

Amanda Hilton and Dani Asquini tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively, for St. Charles East, which trailed 44-42 going into the fourth quarter.
