Cary man arrested on child pornography charges
A 36-year-old Cary man was arrested Monday on 14 counts of dissemination of child pornography, according to police.
Bretton C. Schindelar of the 200 block of Weaver Drive was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. Monday on seven counts of aggravated child pornography and seven counts of child pornography, according to police.
Schindelar disseminated multiple digital images of females under the ages of 13 and others under 18 engaging in sexual conduct, police said.
Aggravated child pornography is pornography where the age of the person depicted is reasonably assumed to be under the age of 18, according to Illinois statutes.
In May, Cary Police and the McHenry County sheriff's office executed a search warrant on the residence on the 200 block of Weaver Drive after being provided with information from the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children's Taskforce.
Police seized several “computer-related items” during the May search, leading to Monday's arrest.
