Season outlook: There’s experience and depth this season for Huntley, which struggled with consistency last year. “This season we are returning a strong group of seniors who have some seasoned varsity experience coupled with a solid group of newcomers to this year’s team,” said Raethz. “I believe the opportunity is there for us to have a successful season. We are working very hard right now at our execution on offense and defense, and in particular, I think much of our success as a team this season will lie in our willingness to play solid team defense and rebound for four full quarters.” Lowery (11.1 ppg, 3 rpg, 2 spg) and Goede (8.6 ppg, 3.6 apg, 3 spg) are four-year varsity players. Lowery, who has committed to Division II Hillsdale College, is a two-time all-area player who has 118 career 3-pointers and 655 career points. Chapius averaged 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds last year and Tsevas 7.3 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. “We are playing a very competitive schedule this season and it is imperative that we play at a more consistent level and bring our best effort each night,” Raethz said.
