Scores should do District 203 proud

In honor of American Education Week, QE203.org wants to recognize Naperville Unit District 203 teachers and administrators, its students and parents, for the high academic achievement realized by its students.

QE203.org has posted its 2010 analysis of academic performance and costs on our website and we can report that District 203 ties for 6th place in ACT scores in Illinois. This places District 203 in the top 1 percent of all ACT scores. It is significant that the five higher scoring districts spend a staggering 37.5 percent more than District 203. Clearly, the educational return on this community's financial investment is exceptional. No other school district comes close.

We are pleased to have our children experience a top notch education from committed professionals. And, with a balanced budget, the district will be able to work toward improving our children's education, instead of cutting staff and programs as is the unfortunate reality at so many school districts today.
