Leave our taxes alone

Gov. Quinn:

It is beyond belief that you consider your election to be a mandate to raise our taxes. There were 1.6 million ballots cast and you received a mere 19,413 more than Brady.

In your wildest imagination, how do you define that as a “mandate?”

My request is for you to come to your senses and realize you are governor by the slimmest of margins.

You must honor the 1,936,243 citizens of Illinois who did not vote for you by dropping your insane contention of a mandate and leave our taxes alone.

They are high enough.
