Hanover Township supervisor honored

Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire was honored this month at the Township Officials of Illinois Annual Educational Conference in Springfield with the “Friend to Youth” award from the Association of Illinois Township Committees on Youth and the “Supervisor of the Year” award from the Illinois Township Association of Senior Citizen Service Committees.

Both awards are the highest recognition an elected township official can receive at the conference.

“Both awards represent the hard work and determination of the entire Township Board, staff and volunteers, not just one person,” McGuire said in a release.
