Mystery mini-conference at Lincolnshire library
• The Vernon Area Public Library District hosts a “Love is Murder” mystery mini-conference starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, with performers from the Improv Playhouse leading an interactive murder-mystery. A panel of published mystery writers will discuss their own inspirations and creative processes and will offer insight into the publishing business from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Guests will have an opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with the authors who include: Raymond Benson, “Dark Side of the Morgue” and “A Hard Day's Death”; Michael Allen Dymmoch, “M.I.A.” and “Death in West Wheeling”; Shane Gericke, “Torn Apart” and “Blown Away”; and Libby Fischer Hellmann, “Doubleback” and “An Eye for Murder.” A book signing will follow.
