Payton Foundation annual toy drive returns Sunday

The Payton Family, its foundation staff and volunteers will be collecting toy donations for children Sunday at Soldier Field when the Bears host the Minnesota Vikings.

The Walter and Connie Payton Foundation's annual event will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to collect new toys for in-need children under the care of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

The Payton family, WCPF staff and volunteers will be stationed at most entrances of Soldier Field. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy donation for a child, newborn to 18 years old, and drop it in one of the WPCF Toy-Drop Boxes when entering the stadium.

WCPF provides for approximately 15,000 children annually, and all toys collected will be distributed to the in-need children throughout the Chicago area this holiday season.

The Payton family's annual effort also honors Walter Payton's legacy, and you can learn more about WCPF events at www.Payton34.com.
