Hoffman Estates man killed in Schaumburg hit-and-run

A 31-year-old Hoffman Estates man was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident while walking along the side of the road in Schaumburg, police said.

Shaun Moore was seen walking south on the 1500 block of South Roselle Road before being discovered on the road at 2:50 a.m., said Liane Jackson, a spokeswoman for the Cook County sheriff's police.

Police said no witnesses of the vehicle striking Moore have come forward and police do not have a description of the vehicle or driver.

Moore was pronounced dead shortly after the accident at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village from multiple injuries, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

“Unfortunately, we are seeking info from anyone who might have been in the area,” Jackson said.
