Browns' McCoy set to start against Patriots
BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland rookie quarterback Colt McCoy will likely make his third consecutive start on Sunday against New England.
McCoy has gotten every snap in practice with Cleveland's starting offense this week with Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace still out with ankle injuries.
Browns coach Eric Mangini, never one to completely reveal his plans, said "we're moving pretty strong in that direction" when he asked if McCoy will face the Patriots (6-1).
McCoy would be making his first start at home. He went 1-1 in starts at Pittsburgh and New Orleans.
Wallace had hoped to return to practice this week, but has not yet been cleared by doctors. Delhomme sprained his ankle in the season opener and was re-injured on Oct. 10, when Wallace rolled his ankle in the first half against the Falcons.
