The seasoned candidate we need

On Oct. 26, a letter to the editor suggested Bek Soen, a supporter of 6th District Democratic Congressional candidate Ben Lowe, was a paid staff member. In fact, Bek Soen supports Ben out of conviction.

For the record, Bek Soen is a dedicated and impassioned volunteer and represents what is great about our country. She exemplifies the ideals of the late President Ronald Reagan when he said, “No matter how big and powerful government gets, and the many services it provides, it can never take the place of volunteers.”

The author of the same letter suggested Ben Lowe did not have plans for improving our economy. As an environmentalist, candidate Lowe not only has the ideas but also the expertise to jump start the technologies that will sustain our country and planet in the coming years. He outlines with great specificity what is needed to encourage the development of these new jobs.

Ben Lowe inspires many dedicated volunteers like Bek Soen and is the seasoned candidate we need to represent our district and create jobs for the future.
