Man with courage to stand up for us

During one congressional term, just two years, Congress passed a government-run health care overhaul that threatens to demolish the most advanced health care system in the history of our world, adding skyrocketing new debt, while reducing care and invading our privacy.

Astronomical government bailouts were made and a “stimulus” package passed that cost billions and managed to have no positive impact on the unemployment problem. Although a minority, there were solid members of Congress who stood up to oppose each of these bills while offering reasonably and more responsible alternatives throughout the entire process.

Peter Roskam was one of them. It is my hope that members of Congress like Roskam will become a majority instead of a minority on Tuesday. Our nation needs congressmen like Roskam with the courage to stand up for us, our future, and lead our country in a more responsible direction.
