Sparton awarded $3 million contract
Schaumburg-based Sparton Corp. announced the award of a $3 million subcontract to manufacture sonobuoys for the United States Navy as part of the ERAPSCO joint venture. Work will be performed in Columbia City, Ind. and DeLeon Springs, Fla.
Under the ERAPSCO subcontract, Sparton will share fabrication, final assembly and testing of 1,000 sonobuoys to support United States Naval Antisubmarine Forces in littoral and deep water environments.
