Roselle police seek armed robbers

Roselle police are searching for two suspects who committed an armed robbery Tuesday night in a restaurant parking lot.

Two men were sitting in their car around 7:30 p.m. in a lot on west Lake Street and Rodenburg Road, police said, when two other men approached them and then jumped in the car brandishing handguns.

The suspects took an unknown amount of money, keys and electronic items, according to reports.

Police said one victim suffered a superficial head wound after one of the men hit him with the gun. The victim was not taken to the hospital.

Both suspects fled on foot, officials said.

The first suspect is a black male, about 20, with a thin build who was wearing a white hoodie with black designs, police said. Officers said the second suspect is a black male in his late teens with a large build, wearing all black clothing.

Roselle police were assisted at the scene by officers and canine units from Itasca, Elk Grove Village, Schaumburg, Hanover Park, Glendale Heights and Bartlett.

Anyone with information on the crime should call Sgt. John Lawson at (630) 671-4404.
