Putting some checks on government
As a small-business owner, I consider myself to be part of the backbone of the American economy. I did not receive a dime of stimulus money. The government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers, choosing arbitrarily those businesses they will fund and those they will not. That is not equal opportunity. Freedom from government intrusion is what will allow businesses to flourish, hire employees, and bring the economy back.
Fiscal conservatives like Peter Roskam understand this. By electing people like Roskam to Congress, maybe we can check this government that thinks it knows what is best for America's businesses.
