Fitch Ratings Affirms Village "AAA" Rating
Credit rating agency Fitch Ratings recently affirmed the village of Woodridge's credit rating at AAA with a stable outlook. This rating is the highest credit quality available from the firm. Fitch based their rating on the village maintaining flexibility through diverse revenue sources and prudent expense management. The rating noted the village's continued ability to maintain sound reserve levels in the face of the potential for reduced state aide and sales tax collections.
The rating was conducted because Fitch maintains a policy to periodically review their ratings. The agency served as the initial rating agency for two bond series issued in 2003. A copy of a press release from Fitch Ratings can be found at www.vil.woodridge.il.us.
