Bringing Glendale Heights together

Fourteen years ago, a few people had an idea to bring our Glendale Heights community together. That was the first year of our Annual Family Health and Safety Fair.

This event has evolved into something that should make everyone proud. It is truly a collaborative effort that has an extremely positive effect on our community by offering untold services and resources. That community involves all ages and three school districts, two fire districts, two library districts, a village, a hospital and a very generous corporation.

Chicago Blower Corp. has been with us since the very beginning, offering not only financial support, but many volunteer hours. As in years past, GlenOaks Hospital provided many free screenings, giveaways and manpower for the Health and Safety Fair. They, too, have been there for us for 14 years. In addition, we had over 100 exhibitors who contributed so much to this event. Your participation and feedback are invaluable.

On behalf of Carole Vasbinder and Debbie McKenzie, thank you to: GlenOaks Hospital; Chicago Blower; Marquardt Elementary District 15; Queen Bee Elementary District 16; Glenbard High School District 87; Glenside and Bloomingdale fire protection districts; Glenside and Bloomingdale library districts; and, as always, our gracious hosts, the village of Glendale Heights. Also, a special thank you to the Glendale Heights Police Department and ESDA Unit for the things you do. We couldn't have done it without any of you.
