Vote needed on new head of water board

Am I the only person in DuPage County who has a problem with the DuPage Water Commission and the 13 member commissioners?

Carol Stream Village President Frank Saverino made a statement in the Daily Herald “it was money we thought we had, but didn't.”

This is a 13-member commission that spent $69 million that they thought they had on projects that so called benefitted the customers. Would you not think that one of the 13 members would open his eyes and say, “I don't think we have the money and check first.”

Now Chairman Bob Schillerstrom said the county board will appoint a new general manager, which is the same board that appointed the last manager.

Maybe politicians should not be involved in this appointment. People of DuPage County, let's vote on this.
