Game notes: This is the first of four meetings between the bitter rivals. The Canucks, who played at Minnesota on Tuesday, are a bit banged up with defensemen Sami Salo (Achilles), Keith Ballard (concussion) and winger Alex Burrows (shoulder) out of the lineup. Marty Turco starts in goal for the Hawks looking for his fourth straight win.
Last season: After splitting the regular-season series 2-2, the Hawks eliminated the Canucks in the second round of the playoffs in six games.
