Bond set in Hanover Park theft case

A Cook County judge set bond at $45,000 for a 20-year-old Schaumburg man charged with stealing about $2,000 from a Hanover Park residence in July.

Police arrested Princeton Carter, of the 1200 block of Schaumburg Road, over the weekend. A spokesman said an investigation led them to Carter, but declined to give any additional details.

Carter received supervision for battery in 2009 and supervision for possession of cannabis in 2008.

If convicted of the class 1 felony, he could face four to 15 years in prison. He next appears in a Rolling Meadows courtroom on Nov. 4.
