Buffalo Grove (4-3, 2-1) at Wheeling (1-6, 0-3)

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Last week: BG d. Meadows 16-13; Wheeling lost t Prospect 62-24

Outlook: Buffalo Grove has won two tight games to get into position to be playoff eligible but can't afford any letdown with Prospect looming next week. “We said starting back at the Hersey game we had to treat every game like a playoff game, said BG coach Jim Farrell. “We know (Wheeling) is going to be ready to play. Joe Damisch was ready last week just two days after his father's death from brain cancer and made the move offensively to center and defensively had 10 tackles. Senior QB Mike Garrity is also moving closer to a possible return from a concussion but Farrell said Richie Zirngibl would start tonight. “We have to be prepared for everything they do, Wheeling coach Dave Dunbar said with a laugh. Wheeling QB Tyler Brady continues to be tough to prepare for after he threw for 3 TDs and had 370 total yards last week despite the loss of RB Eddie Scanlon for the season with mono. BG has won 10 of 12 and leads the series 26-10.
