Scouting Barrington at Fremd
Barrington (7-0, 3-0) at Fremd (3-4, 2-1)
When: 7:30 p.m. today at Hale Hildebrandt Field
Last week: Barrington d. Hoffman 17-6; Fremd d. Palatine 17-16
Outlook: Barrington gets RB Chase Murdock back from his foot injury and has a chance to clinch at least a share of its 10th MSL division title and Fremd looks to continue its drive for 5 wins and a 16th straight playoff berth. “It's always fun when we get together and play those guys, said Barrington coach Joe Sanchez. “Every year it's a great game and it seems to always be a well-played game. I told our kids it will be a playoff-like atmosphere and that's the beauty of it. Fremd has won five straight and nine of the last 10 in a matchup that showcases some of the MSL's biggest beasts up front. Justin Wallace rushed for 83 of his 112 yards in the second half last week and freshman QB Sam Beutler capped long drives with a TD run and pass. “The time of possession was phenomenal, said Fremd coach Mike Donatucci. “(Palatine) had us on th run a little bit but we made big plays when we had to defensively and it was just a total team effort. Barrington also got LB Alex Jirschele back last week from injury.
