Lakemoor Police Chief Michael Marchese will leave the department Nov. 4, village officials confirmed Friday.

Marchese cited personal and family reasons for leaving after only eight months on the job, Mayor Todd Weihofen said.

Village officials are set to interview potential replacements Oct. 20. Weihofen said he hopes to name Marchese's successor by the time he leaves. Marchese is the department's fourth chief or interim chief in the last two years.
