Fox has background to be comptroller
Another sign of voter anger is the number of third party candidates on the ballot. Third parties in Illinois overcame the incumbent protectionist signature requirements and frivolous petition challenges, mainly backed by Republicans.

Julie Fox, a CPA and comptroller by profession, is the Libertarian candidate on the ballot for Illinois Comptroller. Republicans put up Judy Baar-Topinka, who does PR and politics for a living. Democrat David Miller is a dentist.
