O'Neill is deeply flawed candidate

John O'Neill says he wants to create jobs, but as a member of the McHenry Library Board he voted against creating local jobs by refusing to accept federal grant money.

John O'Neill is on the McHenry School Board, yet home schools all of his school-aged children.

Mr. O'Neill is not a serious candidate. He epitomizes what is wrong with politics. His candidacy makes voters cynical.

The Republicans would have been better off leaving the nomination vacant, rather than running such a deeply flawed candidate.
