Take a hike on Halloween

The Lake County Forest Preserve District will offer Halloween-themed hikes on Oct. 29 and 30 at Ryerson Woods near Riverwoods.

The hourlong hikes will begin every 30 minutes between 6 and 8 p.m. Participants will walk along a candlelit path, enjoy nature-themed skits and snack on doughnuts and cider. Families with kids ages 4 to 12 can participate.
